“Stefan, make it stop.” Came her quiet plea. A burning sensation engulfed her, causing her petite frame to shake. Katherine couldn’t help but scream, her hands clutching the sides of her head as she prayed for the pain to subside. Then another and another, radiating throughout her entire body. Another flash of pain thrummed through her skull. Handing him the vervain, she regained her seat on the couch. I don’t want to hurt you, Stefan.” Though she wasn’t exactly happy about adding fuel to the fire when it came to her pain, she didn’t want to hurt him, not when he was actually trying to help. She pulled out a twig of vervain, clutching it by a piece of paper. “How do you expect to control me? I had you against the wall in a second.” Pausing for a moment in thought, she stood up from her seat and walked towards a large armoire situated near the end of the room and opened up one of the cabinets. “Klaus owes you? For what? You know perfectly well he doesn’t do favors.” She raised her head and looked up at Stefan. She had never feared Klaus for the sole reason of never knowing if it was actually him, coming to end her miserable life. I killed them.” Though it wasn’t exactly remorse in her voice, it was more like fear. “This is the third time today I hallucinated him. Taking a seat onto her couch, Katherine placed her head in her hands, her fingers pushing her curls back. “I thought.” She trailed off, not wanting to finish her sentence. Her eyes widened as her hand disappeared from his neck, muttering a quiet apology at her sudden attack. The hallucination began to get blurry again and soon Stefan’s face replaced Klaus’s. But then Klaus looked at her and shouted Stefan’s name, causing her grip to falter as her brow furrowed in confusion. Her hallucinations were crystal clear, she could even see the sadistic gleam in Klaus’s eyes as she held his neck tightly, her fangs appearing from underneath her lips. For the first time in a long time, she had to trust someone else. But right now, since Klaus flat out refused her a single drop a blood, Stefan was her last hope. After all these years, she’d learned how to take care of herself at the cost of anything. She never expected to go running to Stefan for help. She was being everything she forced herself to never become and it was all because of one little bite. Katherine despised being so pitiful and vulnerable.
